A Week at LSI

LSI is a thoughtfully curated gathering of innovators, investors, and industry leaders from across the global medtech landscape. It creates a space where emerging technologies, regulatory insight, and business strategy come together, allowing for meaningful conversations about what’s next in healthcare. What makes it especially unique is the environment it fosters, where attendees can connect in a natural, organic way that removes the pressure of traditional networking, while also offering structured opportunities to schedule one-on-one meetings with potential partners. I would love to share my first experience attending LSI USA ‘26.

Entering The Bubble

From the moment I arrived at LSI, the setting at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel made it clear: this wasn’t going to be ordinary. From start to finish, the entire experience felt elevated, not just because of the location, but because of the people, the conversations, and the intention behind it all. Like one intentional giant bubble of innovation.

My role at LSI was to learn, to listen, and to build meaningful connections on behalf of Promenade Software. Not just surface-level networking, but relationships rooted in trust, partnerships where there’s an opportunity to support one another and grow together over time. What made that not only possible, but natural, was the environment LSI so intentionally created.

For one week, everything was meticulously taken care of, from the setting to the meals to the spaces designed for connection. That intentional design created a sense of separation from the pace of everyday life, allowing attendees to be fully present and immersed. In that space, the focus shifted toward collaboration, shared ideas, and a collective commitment to improving patient care and health. It became a rare opportunity to step into a setting where meaningful connections could take priority, making it easier to build relationships that extended beyond the conference and into lasting partnerships.

It’s About The Patient

One of the biggest takeaways for me was realizing just how much opportunity there still is to improve the medical industry, and how many people are actively working to do just that. There’s a strong push toward bringing care back to the patient: making surgeries less invasive, operation and recovery times diminished, implants that have more longevity, creating stress free rehabilitation and treatment environments, and ultimately better patient health.

Some of the innovations I saw were truly remarkable. From advancements in dialysis technology that reduce or eliminate the need for blood to new approaches in procedures like eye lifts that can be performed without cutting, stitches, or traditional sutures, it was incredible to see how far things have evolved. There were numerous breakthrough, first-of-their-kind technologies, including EKG systems capable of measuring the parasympathetic nervous system, antibiotic catheters designed to deliver treatment directly to the wound site, scaffolding systems used in conjunction with robot-assisted airway surgeries to reduce procedure times and expand access for surgeons, and spinal implants that allow for flexibility and movement rather than permanent fusion.Seeing this level of innovation firsthand made it clear just how quickly the landscape is changing.

How Promenade Fits

It was especially meaningful to watch our COO, Roxana Greenman on stage, leading a session and sharing an overview of Promenade Software including our CypherMed Cloud. It reinforced something I felt throughout the week: how crucial robust, compliant software is in supporting innovation across the medtech ecosystem. So many of these innovations rely on compliant, secure, and thoughtfully built software and it’s so rewarding to know that we’re contributing to that in a meaningful way. As the industry continues to move toward more connected, intelligent devices, patient-centered care doesn’t stop at the clinical outcome, it extends to safety, privacy, and trust. Ensuring that embedded systems, firmware, and connected devices are secure from vulnerabilities or potential breaches is a critical part of protecting patients, not just physically, but digitally as well. It’s a perspective that often operates behind the scenes, but plays a vital role in enabling these innovations to safely reach and support the people they’re designed for.

The setting was gorgeous, the food was incredible, the people were dynamic and diverse, and everything, from the environment to the programming, felt curated for meaningful connection. Everywhere you looked, there was something inspiring. LSI is an ecosystem all of its own, a melting pot of global innovation, brought together in a beautiful, intentional bubble. By the final day, I found myself thinking something simple but true: the hours were long, but the days were short. It felt like we had all the time in the world and then suddenly, the bubble popped.
